Raccord came out of my own consulting work. The original idea was narrow: build a tool to spot automation opportunities buried in interview notes for my very own practice. I wanted a tool to help me smart up quickly on domains I knew nothing about.
I wanted:
I tried it on a friend’s problem at their work: a college's Study Abroad Office with a coordination-heavy team managing 10-16 international programs simultaneously.
It sounded like a perfect candidate to test my assumptions. I asked theme to send me a free voice memos, some documents and processed it all locally via terminal. No UI at his point. And it worked. I was bluffed. The system produced structured output from raw interview transcripts on day one.
I ran two other projects through it (including a known CPG haircare brand through my consulting practice) and it nailed it. It worked so well that I offered a relative (a consultant) to use it if he wanted. Not trying to sell it or anything. I was mostly running it all in the terminal. No product to sell to speak of.
He spoke to his boss. There was strong interest. I was a consultant at a much smaller scale than they are but the issues were the same.
Most consulting teams spend enormous amounts of time running interviews, synthesizing messy qualitative data, identifying patterns, and turning fragmented insights into client-ready recommendations. The process is highly manual, difficult to scale, and heavily dependent on individual consultant interpretation.
After a few conversations, the product evolved a bit. The vision then expanded beyond automation use cases into a more general “research-to-deck” layer for consulting engagements.
The goal is now to help an experienced consultant who already has domain expertise:
It wasn't about replacing a consultant or their judgment any longer, it made more sense to simply amplify it.
Another core issue they had was the ability to conduct interviews at scale. Interviews take time and manpower and that means money. So I also built an AI-moderated research interview platform. If my tool was going to ingest interviews, it may as well conduct them.
Now I had: a platform capable of ingesting interviews and discovery materials, analyzing them across stakeholders, and producing structured, traceable, consultant-ready outputs.
At its core, Raccord is an attempt to bridge the gap between qualitative research and structured strategic deliverables.
STATUS
v0 is live. One consulting firm is running real client stakeholder interviews through it today, with no human moderator in the room and using the insights generated to speed up their research-to-deck workflow.
